  31. A 1M vga card, eh?  That is probably your problem.  However, if you have an
  32. ISA motherboard, even a superexpensive ISA video card, won't up your frame
  33. rate too terribly much.

  35. On my old Packard Smell 486/33sx ISA, with NO cache, I used to get like
  36. 16.7.  I put in a ET4000/w32i and it gets 20.0.  Not a big improvement, but
  37. noticeable.

  39. Cirrus logic is not bad.  I got pretty decent results with a CL5426 --
  40. same 3dbench frame rate, but I got a better deal on the ET4000/w32i.

  42. You will never find a DX33 with 40fps.  Some DX2-66's don't even get 40fps.
  43. If you are worried, check the comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.video newsgroup
  44. for one of the 3d-bench score compilations.
