OK, you and your small group of UAC marines (In Co-Op mode) have just finished
clearing out HELL and have reappeared back on Earth. As you catch your
collective breaths you hear turbine engines approaching in the distance.
Looking heavenward, you see a quickly approaching Avenger Transport craft on
an intercept course.
Unknown to you, in your absence the Earth has been attacked by Alien creatures
and a new Elite organization called XCOM was created to deal with this threat.
The Transport lands almost on top of you and starts spilling out armored
troopers that begin opening fire on you! Your UAC team hunkers down behind
whatever protection the sparce terrain provides and returns fire. Plasma
charges and rockets criss cross the landscape as you and the XCOM troops
exchange shots.
In this battle between two powerful forces WHO will win ? It's up to YOU
to decide !...
To all DOOM fans (that give a damn <G>), I just read this in the c.s.i.p.games.

Now, actually I don't REALLY give a darn what the list says, I think DOOM is
the #1 game and no list (whether it agrees with me or not) will change my mind.
I'm REALLY into DOOM and I think the new utilities and 3rd party patches will
keep it hot AT LEAST until DOOM II comes out, if not longer. I also really
like XCOM, I just don't think it's better than DOOM :) .
Now, I have put my vote in for DOOM on the list, just for the Hell of it, and
just wanted everyone to be aware of this specific post on the '.strategic
newsgroup. If it matters to you that the list has DOOM as #1, then you may
wanna place your votes.
Unfortunately, I don't have the specific [#] for DOOM, but if you check the
Top 100 list for DOOM the info and instructions for voting are there. It
may probably be found in the comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.announce newsgroup.
Just fer your info, ;)

p.s. If there has already been a post on alt.games.doom about this specific
"threat", then my apologise - I haven't read anything dealing directly with
this other post.
