I saw an articel in PC Graphics & Video (August 94) about An Inexpensive
Virtual Reality Headset:
"The CyberMaxx headset from Victor-Maxx Technologies (Deerfield, IL)
provides users with a completely immersive stereoscopic environment
in which to play computer games. The 14-ounce headset, which features
a 120,000-pixel active-matrix liquid crystal display, allows
viewers to see a 360-degree virtual environment with a 62-degree
horizontal field of view. The product includes a high-performance
stereo speaker system and real-time tracking so that the 3D game
environment moves with the user's head. The headset is compatible with
IBM and Macintosh PCs, as well as Sega, Nintendo, and Jaguar game
systems. Independent software developers New World Computing, domark
Software, Interplay Productions, Origin, Diaspar Virtual Reality Network,
ProtoLogic, Synthetic dimensions, StreetWise Worldwide, and Realism
Entertainment have signed agreements to produce VR games for the
CyberMaxx. Suggested retail is $700 "

I noticed that ID was not listed in this article. Ya think that a company
who in one stroke redefined the work "Virtual Reality", was not developing
their games to be compatible with these VR Headsets???!!!
