It is quite possible to play doom with a power glove. It is
connected in the standard way that powergloves are hooked up to the
computer(via parallel port)
There is a program that tricks doom into thinking that
the power glove is a mouse. You don't even have to use the
power glove to play the game, the sensor will work fine.
The name of the program is doomglov
Here is a description of my extremely overdone doom setup
1 modified toy shotgun with power glove sensors on
end. (i.e when I turn my gun left/right my character in doom
moves left/right).
1 homebrew hmd (with a radio shack lcd screen, fresnel
lenses, hood, stereo headphones, etc.. .)
1 rgb-ntsc converter($79 from ADS)
Gravis ultrasound with the 3d sound working.
386/33/nonvlb(<-this is the worst part)
You can also adjust the sensitivity of the glove by
adjusting the "mouse" sensitivity.
I don't know where the ftp site for the program is, so
don't mail me asking for it, I may post the binary here if I
get time. (or on alt.binaries.doom)
