I know of three versions of Elite for the IBM PC. The first was a direct
port of the original game as I had on my commodore 64, and played even
better, albeit CGA. The second version I have is Elite Plus, which added
more graphics (pictures of aliens), but I didn't take the time to get used
to it. The third, and current one is Frontier, Elite ][. More graphics,
ships, equipment, etc.. I still haven't gotten the hang of it either though.
