I believe the 486/50 quote is correct. For the heck of it, I asked
American if my 100 Mhz Pentium, 32 MB RAM, 1.6 GB hard drive, and
Diamond Stealth 64 PCI video would be enough to play QUAKE. The reply
was, "Don't ask stupid questions."
