  14. I am having a bit of a nightmare. I am trying to run the registered V1.2 DOOM
  15. and am having intermittant success. I get through the start-up sequence ok, but
  16. when the picture of the mean guy with the gun is _supposed_ to appear, the computer
  17. locks up.

  19. I am emulating a sound blaster card, on an Orchid Soundwave 32, with settings
  20. ADD 220H IRQ 5 DMA 1, and have tried every possible combination, but no success.
  21. I got doom to run only ONCE and then for some reason, with those settings, all
  22. subsequent effects had no success.

  24. Ok, so I thought it was the card conflicting with something, so I got rid of
  25. the card and tried it without. Same problems. Does this mean it might be
  26. conflicting with something else ? - probably ;-(

  28. Any ideas ? It is _really_ annoying ;-(
