No, it is quite easy to do on any skill level without hacks. On easier settings
you just need to help it along by moving backwards just after you fire
(you should fire when you are right up against the wall for maximum effect).
If you save one of the 2 invulnerabilities until the end you don't even need
to suffer any damage.
