  2. APCiDOOM v4.0 is a freeware utility for 
  3. DOOM.  It is the client software that 
  4. allows high-speed modem users to play FOUR 
  5. PLAYER true network modem DOOM via the 
  6. APCi MultiPlayer Game Server.  It features 
  7. a chat utility that enables players to 
  8. chat and change WAD files/settings before
  9. and between games.  Supported modes are
  10. modem, serial link, and IPX.  Proper
  11. operation requires DOOM v1.6 or later.
  12. APCiDOOM v4.0 was released on 8/30/94.
