  5. This document explains the basic menus placed throughout the game. Note that
  6. the following are translations taken from a player's point of view.
  7.  
  8. I am also including a basic game control section for those who are too lazy
  9. to find them out on their own =)
  10.

  44.     You will be taken first to the controller select menu. There you can
  45. select how many players will play: One, Two, Three, or Four, by pressing 
  46. start on the respective controllers.
  47.     After that, you will proceed to the team select menu, where you can
  48. select the teams participating in the game.
  49.     Following that, you will go to a pre-game options screen. This screen
  50. will set the rules/stipulations for the game. SEE GAME OPTIONS 1
  51.     You will then go to the batting order/player screen. You can select
  52. first which players will play for your team. Afterwards, you can select which
  53. players will be controlled by the human(s) or the CPU. To have all of a
  54. certain type of player be CPU controlled, press R. You can also change players
  55. individually by highlighting them and then pressing A.
  56.     Next, you will move to a secondary options screen. This mainly
  57. pertains to individual player options for the game. SEE GAME OPTIONS 2
  58.     The next screen is the field select. From here you can select the field
  59. that you will play on. The fields include grass, turf, and domed fields. 
  60. (This is where it gets fun). Also selectable are an arena on Mars (complete
  61. with spaceship), and (get this) a beach! Have fun!

  64. PRACTICE MODE SCREENS
  65.  
  66.     The practice mode allows you to refine your skills for use during
  67. play (and in this game, they actually work!)
  68.     The modes are as follows: Batting, Catching, Out-fielding, Pitching,
  69. and In-fielding. Each mode has a corresponding picture of a player, and are
  70. reletively easy to make out.
  71.     After selecting the type of practice, but before beginning, you will
  72. see several selections. The numbers are the level of play. They range from
  73. one (1) being the easiest, two (2) being the average skill level, and three
  74. (3) being the hardest.
  75.     However, pitching mode is different. It ranges based on pitches thrown.
  76. (From top to bottom): Straight Pitches, Sliders, High Balls, Variable (Easy),
  77. and Variable (Hard).
  78.     In each practice session, you have different objectives (things to
  79. do in order to get an OK from the coach). Here are the objectives based on
  80. type:

  82. Batting        Hit the ball fair and past the pitcher
  83. Catching    Field ball, throw to first base
  84. Out-Fielding    Field ball, throw to home plate
  85. Pitching    Hit the white square on screen. (If it hits, it will drop down)
  86. In-Fielding    Field ball, throw to first base

  89. SEASON PLAY
  90.  
  91.     In Season mode, you play an entire season, controlling the team(s) of
  92. you choice. Qualify for the playoffs and your season will continue longer
  93. than scheduled. To trade players, SEE PLAYER INFORMATION

  98.     From this area, you have the ability to view player stats and abilities
  99. on any team. You can also create and trade players.

  122.     These options are confusing to me, for they contain no numbers or
  123. otherwise recognizable characters. (Help anyone?) However, the bottom four
  124. seem to pertain to individual controllers.
