  1. Cricket '97 patch for Windows 95 v2.0
  2.  
  3. This patch fixes the following bugs -
  4.  
  5. - Modem slowdown.  This patch will fix the slow down that some people have
  6.   experienced with the modem game.
  7. - Modem/Network play bug fixes.  Modem play will now operate correctly at
  8.   all speeds.
  9. - Batting has been improved
  10. - Alt+Tab task switching in Windows 95 fixed
  11. - Wicket keeper should now stay behind the stumps
  12.     Note:  If keeper bowls, he will still not return to keeping.
  13. - Bug with Custom Teams in World Challenge score table fixed
  14. - Additional help available
  15. - Camera glitch fixed
  16. - World challenge table glitch removed

  20. *** Installing the patch (Win95) ***
  21.  
  22.  
  23. Begin by extracting the files to your hard disk.  This document
  24. covers the two most common methods.
  25.  
  26. USING Pkunzip:
  27. -------------
  28.  
  29. From an MS-DOS window, change to the directory that you have
  30. downloaded the Cricket '97 patch to.  Type the following:
  31.  
  32.  PKUNZIP C97WINP2.ZIP C:\C97
  33.  
  34. If you have installed Cricket '97 to a directory other than C:\C97,
  35. then change all references to C:\C97 to the desired directory 
  36. path.
  37.  
  38. USING Winzip:
  39. ------------
  40.  
  41. Double click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop.  Double
  42. click on the drive that you have downloaded C97WINP2.ZIP to.  
  43. Navigate your way to the folder where C97WINP2.ZIP is.  You may 
  44. now either double click on C97WINP2.ZIP to open it, or right 
  45. click on it and select the 'Extract To' option.
  46.  
  47. If you double clicked the C97WINP2.ZIP icon, you will now have to 
  48. click 'Extract' in Winzip.
  49.  
  50. Click the mouse in the 'Extract to:' field,
  51. and enter 
  52.  
  53.  C:\C97
  54.  
  55. Now click on the 'Extract' button.  If you have installed Cricket
  56. '97 to a directory other than C:\C97, then change all references to
  57. C:\C97 to the desired directory path.

  60. AFTER EXTRACTING FILES
  61.  
  62. Having extracted the files, you should now have the new WINCRICK.EXE
  63. and WINSTALL.EXE in your C97 directory.  Now you can just run the
  64. game as per usual.
