  41.     This CD contains the ELSA Display Driver for Microsoft Windows 95.
  42.  
  43.         The driver supports 256, 32768, 65536 and 16 Million colors in
  44.         all resolutions available on used ELSA board.

  61.         In case of trouble during or after installation, please make
  62.     sure you have all the files mentioned above!

  67. 3.      Installation
  68.  
  69.     This section describes the steps to install an ELSA Display
  70.     Driver for Windows 95.
  71.  
  72.     To install the drivers, start the program SETUP.EXE in this
  73.     directory. The installation assistant will help you to install
  74.     the driver with the control panel.
  75.  
  76. 3.1     First installation of ELSA Display Driver
  77.  
  78.     First install Windows 95 without special drivers for the ELSA
  79.     graphics board. The installation procedure should
  80.     find a PCI VGA-compatible display adapter and ask for a
  81.     "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer".
  82.     - Push the "OK"-button
  83.     - "Copy manufacturer's files from:"
  84.       CD-Drive: this directory (e.g.: E:\WINNER\3000S\WIN95)
  85.       The neccessary files will be copy and Windows 95 asks for
  86.       restart.
  87.     - Push the "Yes"-button
  88.  
  89.     After the restart the configuration of the ELSA display adapter
  90.     Driver starts from the Windows desktop.
  91.  
  92.     - Start the dialog "Properties for Display" by clicking right
  93.       mouse button on the desktop or per Control Panel.
  94.     - Select the Property Page "Settings" or "ELSA WINman".
  95.       - Property Page Settings:
  96.         Standard-Windows-Dialog for changing resolution, color
  97.         depth and font size.
  98.       - Property Page ELSA WINman
  99.         ELSA WINman gives you full control to configure your ELSA
  100.         display adapter perfectly. You can change resolution, color
  101.         depth and refresh rate, bild position etc.

  103.     Normally you need to boot your system. Push the button "Restart
  104.     now".
  105.  
  106.     In all following Windows sessions you can change the resolution
  107.     without rebooting your system.

  133.     DirectDraw/Direct3D support
  134.  
  135.     The display driver do support DirectDraw/Direct3D, but to use
  136.     it in an application, you must install DirectDraw/Direct3D.
  137.     The Microsoft DirectDraw/Direct3D components are not included
  138.     in the standard retail version of Windows 95. You need an
  139.     installation of DirectX II/III.

  141.     To install DirectDraw/Direct3D start the program DXSETUP in
  142.         the directory \ELSAWARE\DDRAW\DIRECTX on the ELSA CD.

  147. 6.      Known Bugs and Operating Notes
  148.  
  149.     This section documents known anomalies or problems and gives
  150.     hints on work arounds.
  151.  
  152.     There occur misrepresentation of colors and displays by viewing
  153.     MPEG files with ELSAmotion.
  154.  
  155.     To avoid errors in display, it is necessary to use the
  156.     ELSA Settings to switch between 32768 colors and 65536 colors.
