  36. 1.      Introduction

  38.     If a WINNER graphics board (e.g. WINNER 1000PRO) on the VL or
  39.     PCI bus and a second, non-VGA graphics board (e.g. WINNER
  40.     1280) are used at the same time, they may be connected via the
  41.     feature connector.
  42.  
  43.     In this case only one of the hardware color palettes may be
  44.     programmable, depending on the bus type (VL or PCI). This can
  45.     cause incorrect colors to be displayed by one of the graphics
  46.     boards.

  48.     The SNOOP program allows to define the behavior of palette
  49.     programming. This enables the user to see the correct colors on
  50.     his monitor if it is connected to the second graphics board and
  51.     displays the VGA screen via the feature connector.

  54. 1.1     Graphics boards on the VL Bus, WINNER 1000TRIO-PCI, WINNER
  55.         1000TRIO/V, VICTORY 3D and WINNER 3000 boards:

  57.     SNOOP allows to choose wether only the color palette on the
  58.     VGA board or both color palettes can be programmed.

  61. 1.2     Other ELSA graphics boards:

  63.     SNOOP allows to define which color palette can be programmed.
  64.     It is not possible to activate both palettes at the same time.

  66.     You should select "SNOOP OFF" before running Windows or other
  67.     high resolution applications on the PCI WINNER graphics board.

  106.         ON:  VL graphics boards, WINNER 1000TRIO-PCI, WINNER
  107.              1000TRIO/V, VICTORY 3D and WINNER 3000 boards:
  108.          The color palettes of both graphics boards will be
  109.          programmed.

  111.              Other PCI graphics boards:
  112.          The color palette of the second graphics boards will be
  113.          programmed.

  115.          This setting is used to display the VGA screen via the
  116.          feature connector on the monitor connected to the second
  117.          graphics board.

  120.         OFF: Only the color palette of the VGA graphics boards will be
  121.          programmed.

  123.          This setting is used to display high resolution graphics
  124.          (Windows, CAD etc.) on the monitor connected to the WINNER

  135. 4.      Cable connection
  136.  
  137.     Connect the ELSA VL/PCI-board with the flat conductor cable to
  138.         the second graphics board. For the ELSA WINNER 1000TRIO,
  139.         WINNER 1000TRIO/V, VICTORY 3D and WINNER 3000 boards the cable
  140.         have to be twisted one times.
