Thank you for trying Juggernaut Corps(tm): First Assault.
---------------------------------------------------------
Juggernaut Corps(tm): First Assault is a space-based arcade style game with
3D rendered graphics. Your mission is to complete several objectives
and destroy an invading alien force. Please see the file help.txt for the
complete story line.
Game Controls:
--------------
Action Keyboard Joystick Mouse
------------- -------------- --------------- -------------
Forward Thrust Up Arrow Forward *Not Supported
Reverse Thrust Down Arrow Back *Not Supported
Rotate Left Left Arrow Left Drag Left
Rotate Right Right Arrow Right Drag Right
Hyper Brake B *Not Supported Right Button
Left Thrust Z *Not Supported *Not Supported
Right Thrust X *Not Supported *Not Supported
Fire Weapon Space Bar Button 1 or 2 Left Button
Select Weapon 1-9 *Not Supported *Not Supported
Toggle Weapons W *Not Supported *Not Supported
* NOTE: Joystick support is turned off when you start the game for the
first time. This is due to the fact that some joysticks will
cause erratic movement if the wrong driver is selected through
the Windows95 control panel, or if the joystick has not been
calibrated. To calibrate your joystick, select the "Joystick" or
"Game Device" setup option from the control panel.
To turn on joystick support in the game, select "Game options"
from the main menu, followed by "Setup Controls", then select
"Use Joystick?" and toggle the item to "Yes" through the use of
the return key.
The sensitivity of the joystick is selected using the "Joy
Sensitivity" slider. The longer the bar, the less sensitive
the joystick. The game comes pre-configured at 50% sensitivity.
* NOTE: On some game pads/joysticks (Such as Microsoft's Sidewinder Game
pad) the various button's can be reconfigured to emulate keystrokes.
The game developers love the game pad because of this feature.
Basically, using this feature allows for game console-type
playability like Playstation or Nintendo.
Saving Games
------------
Up to 9 games can be stored. To access a given game, select "Pilot Setup"
from the main menu. Use your cursor keys to move to select a game; enter your
name or the name of the game; select a ship; select the game options (volume,
difficulty, etc); and then return to the main menu to start the game.
The status of your selected game will be saved automatically throughout the
game. If all of your lives are killed during game play, you will be returned
to the last saved game point. The demo version of the game saves once you enter
the wormhole at the end of each level.
When you start the game, the first stored game is automatically selected. Use
pilot setup to select a different stored game.
Known Problems
--------------
* On some Video Cards (Like the Diamond Stealth 2000-3D), the latest
video drivers are needed for DirectX to work. If you run the game
and get a completely black screen, it is likely that you need the latest
video drivers.
* On some sound cards the latest drivers are needed for DirectX to work.
If you experience problems with your sound card, please try obtaining
and installing the latest drivers from your sound card vendor.
