  8. The Screen Saver Workbench is the perfect way to display 
  9. your own MOVIES, JPEG Images, GIF Images, Bitmaps
  10. and SOUNDS in a custom Screen Saver. You can even build
  11. your own Screen Saver SLIDESHOW of your favorite images!
  12. Whats best is the Screen Saver Workbench is SIMPLE TO USE!

  16. The Screen Saver Workbench is Shareware.  
  17. You may use it all you want!

  47. WHAT THE SCREEN SAVER WORKBENCH DOES

  49. The Screen Saver Workbench makes it possible for you to create your own Screen Saver on your system.
  50. You can do the following:

  52. 0. VERY EASY TO USE - Designed with you in mind.

  54. 1. Play movies
  55.     a. Video For Windows (AVI)
  56.     b. QuickTime For Windows (MOV)
  57.     c. MPEG Movies
  58.     d. The movies can float or be centered

  60. 2. Play sounds
  61.     a. Wav Files 
  62.     b. Midi Files
  63.     c. A Sound may not be played if a movie is selected
  64.  
  65. 3. Display images 
  66.     a. JPEG files
  67.     b. Bitmaps BMP Files
  68.     c. GIF files
  69.     d. Select a background color
  70.     e. Select a background image
  71.     f. Tile the background image
  72.     g. Have the floating foreground image leave a trail

  74. 4. Create a slide show
  75.     a. Using any image format supported above
  76.     b. Change the interval between slides

  83. HOW TO INSTALL
  84.  
  85. 1. Double click Wrkbench.exe - a self extracting Zip file
  86. 2. Follow the instructions in the install process.

  88. HOW TO USE
  89.  
  90. The install process will put the Screen Saver Workbench program in the directory you select.
  91. It will also put the program in your "Start" menu
  92. Run the program "Screen Saver Workbench.EXE" to select what you want in the screen saver.
  93. Run the Screen Saver Applet to preview and turn on your screen saver.
  94.  
  95. WHAT THE HECK IS THE SCREEN SAVER APPLET?
  96.  
  97. Press "Start" (usually in the lower left hand corner of your screen)
  98. Press "Settings"
  99. Press "Control Panel"
  100. Double click the "Display" Icon - looks like a terminal with a pencil and a ruler.
  101. In the "Display Properties" dialog - click the "Screen Saver" Tab near the top of the dialog.
  102. (This is how to access all the Screen Savers on your system).
  103. Under the word "Screen Saver" you'll see a drop down box - select "Wrkbench" in the drop down
  104. Press "Preview" to see your Screen Saver.
  105. If you wish to make changes, you may do so by pressing the "Settings . . ." button.
  106. Once you have a screen saver you like, you can make it active by pressing "Apply" or "OK"

  108. WHAT SYSTEMS ARE SUPPORTED
  109.  
  110. Only Windows95 and Windows/NT 4.0 are supported.
  111.  
  112. We recommend installing "DirectX" for best graphics performance.
  113. You may obtain DirectX from microsoft at www.microsoft.com/DirectX
  114.  
  115. Note: Installing Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 (or better) will install the latest 
  116. Active Movie technology - this is also recommended.
