  3. 1.3   - 12/14/97

  5. This is a major revision with many significant improvements.
  6.  
  7. * Addition of Filter Properties
  8.     Filters allow you to add special effects like blurs, drop shadows,
  9.     waves and glowing text and images to your documents. The variation,
  10.     type, and intensity of each effect can be customized. Transition
  11.     effects are also supported.
  12. * Addition of Printer Properties
  13.     Printer Properties allow you to control the printing of your
  14.     documents. For example, you can specify where page breaks should
  15.     occur in the document. You can also specify page margins and the
  16.     orientation of the document (eg, Portrait or Landscape).
  17. * Improved Style Sheet Applicator
  18.     Similar to previous versions, you can add style sheets to your
  19.     entire web site easily, but this function has been significantly
  20.     improved in this revision. You can now add JavaScript to your
  21.     pages that will use a different style sheet for IE3, IE4, and NS4.
  22.     The Cascading Order can also be customized with links.
  23. * A new set of sample CSS files
  24.     These files can be used as templates for your Web Pages, or an
  25.     instant method of styling your web site. The Presaved Styles dialog
  26.     now accepts CSS files.
  27. * Inclusion of a Filter effects demonstration Web Page.
  28. * Addition of shortcut keys
  29. * Setting to omit style tags in CSS files  
  30. * Improved experimentation page
  31. * Bug fixes include:
  32.     * Background color 'off' loop on Auto Refresh
  33.     * Lingering properties on CSS file load

  63.     NOTE: The 'Item' selector has been relocated above the properties box

  65.     StyleMaker now offers a drag-and-drop positioning editor. You can now
  66.     easily position, size and 'Z' order your style sheet items by manipulating
  67.     the text in the Item Previewer. Properties include POSITION, TOP, LEFT, 
  68.     HEIGHT, WIDTH, OVERFLOW, and Z-ORDER.
  69. * Combination of Load/Save CSS and Options toolbars
  70. * Presaved Styles are now accessible through the program's main toolbar 
  71. * 'New Item' and 'Delete Item' functions are now located on the toolbar

  80. * Addition of CSS file and embedded CSS loading support 
  81.     This means you will be able to load your old CSS files, or HTML documents 
  82.     containing CSS files, into StyleMaker for re-editing. If StyleMaker finds 
  83.     in your HTML document a style sheet, it will prompt the user to load it. 
  84.     This will also make the .dsm format obsolete (but is still supported).
  85. * Addition of a built-in HTML editor 
  86.     This means you can now open an existing HTML document, or create a new one, 
  87.     and insert your style sheet's Item tags into your documents. You can preview 
  88.     the results as you go along using StyleMaker's internal web browser.
  89. * Addition of new units. StyleMaker now supports PT, PX, PC, CM, MM, IN, EM, EX. 
  90. * Addition of an auto web safe color conversion function 
  91. * Color names are now supported, as well as an auto hex-to-color name function 
  92. * Recognition of the rgb(r,g,b) unit in CSS file loading 
  93. * "Apply To" function is now on a separate toolbar

  111. bug, ie, many users were receiving a "Cannot Load or Register Custom
  112. Control SHDOCVW.DLL" error which prevented them from using the Internet
  113. Explorer enhanced version of StyleMaker.
