  17. * The Arachne WWW Browser unregistered version, may be freely distributed,
  18. provided the distribution package is not modified. No person or company may
  19. charge a fee for the distribution of Arachne WWW Browser without written

  23. * Anyone may use the copyrighted parts of Arachne WWW Browser during a test
  24. period of 30 days. Following this test period of 30 days or less, if you wish
  25. to continue to use Arachne WWW Browser, you MUST register.

  28. public domain or freeware components included in the package; this means you
  29. may use unregistered versions of this package for NON COMMERCIAL purposes.
  30. There is possibility to buy REGISTRATION KEY from authorised distributor,
  31. which will unlock some features that are disabled in unregistered freeware
  32. versions and will allow you to use Arachne WWW Browser without any
  33. restrictions. The ownership of the KEY is the only way to get any help or
  34. support. See HTML file REGISTER.HTM for information about registering.

  36. * Once registered, the user is granted a non-exclusive license to use Arachne
  37. WWW Browser on one computer (i.e. a single cpu), for any legal purpose, at
  38. a time. The registered Arachne WWW Browser may not be rented or leased.

  41. software package, OEM version, etc.) author may require special agreement

  70. * Official minimal configuration is PC with 80386 or higher CPU and 512 kB
  71. SVGA card, but Arachne will partly work even on any 80x86 with EGA or VGA.
  72. Before running Arachne enter this command:
  73. C:\>mem (Enter).
  74. If you wish to use Arachne offline or if there is already TCP/IP connection
  75. established, the "largest executable program size" should be at least 440 KB.
  76. If you want to use built-in PPP dialer (EtherPPP), you will need 570 KB free.
  77. If you cannot get 570 KB free, try to use differnet SLIP or PPP dialer.

  79. * To setup browser, run SETUP.BAT. For example:
  80. C:\>cd ARACHNE (Enter)
  81. C:\ARACHNE>setup (Enter)

  83. * To run browser, run ARACHNE.BAT. CORE.EXE will not work correctly when
  84. executed outside of this batch (the batch is used to execute plug-ins).

  88. * If you are upgrading from older versions of Arachne, please follow
