  1. Welcome to the LightWave compilation CD-ROM.
  2.  
  3. There are two basic ways of using this CD-ROM depending upon what
  4. computer platform and version of LightWave you are using.
  5.  
  6. If you are using LightWave version 4.0 or greater, you can access
  7. the content by simply setting your content directory to your CD-ROM drive
  8. name. Within the root directory of the CD are the Objects, Images, and Scene
  9. files that can be loaded by LightWave. 
  10.  
  11.  
  12. If you are using LightWave version 3.5 or earlier on an Amiga, you 
  13. will need to assign your CD-ROM drive to "LWPRO:". After this has been
  14. done, you will be able to load Scenes from the CD. They are located in 
  15. a directory called LW3_5. This directory contains the same content as found
  16. in the main Scene/Images/Objects directories, but set up so early
  17. Amiga versions of LightWave can read the scene/object files.
  18.  
  19. Besides the content objects, images and scenes, there are a few other
  20. directories on the CD:
  21. DOCS
  22. The DOCS directory contains Readme files that pertain to certain scenes,
  23. objects and directories. It's a good idea to run through these.
  24. LW3_5: This directory contains a copy of all of the scenes/objects/images files 
  25. configured to load in LightWave 3.5 and earlier.

  28. OTHER
  29. Includes  a
  30. demo of LIGHT-ROM textures and objects by Graphic Detail Inc.
  31.  
  32. PLUGINS
  33. Includes the PowerView Plugins for the Alpha, Amiga & PC versions of
  34. Lightwave 3D.
  35.  
  36. PROGRAMS 
  37. This directory contains some Amiga and PC programs that can be quite useful.
  38. For programs that are not outlined in articles, text files can be found
  39. in the appropriate places within the PROGRAMS directory.

  41. SETUPS
  42. This directory contains setup files for Enrique Munoz' Sparks tutorial.
