  4. Installation
  5. ------------
  6.  
  7. If you have not already done so, extract the files from the compressed 
  8. archive into a directory of your choice. To run the program, double-click 
  9. on the CALMON.EXE icon.
  10.  
  11. If you like CALMon, you will probably want to install it in your Startup 
  12. group so that it runs as soon as your system is started. To do this:
  13.  
  14. 1.  Click Start / Settings / Taskbar
  15. 2.  Click the Start Menu Programs tab
  16. 3.  Click Add
  17. 4.  Click the Browse button and locate the file CALMON.EXE
  18. 5.  Click Next, then select StartUp from the list of program groups
  19. 6.  Click Next again, then type "CALMon 95"
  20. 7.  Click Finish.

  22. Removing CALMon from your system
  23. --------------------------------

  25. CALMon adds files to no other directories than its own. To remove it, 
  26. simply delete all the files in the directory you installed the program 
  27. into, and then remove the directory itself. Remove the icon from the 
  28. Startup group by following steps 1 and 2 above, then clicking Remove.

  30. License Agreement

  33. CALMon 95 is not free software. The software is the property of J M 
  34. Technical Services. You are granted a license giving limited rights to use 
  35. the software under the following conditions:
  36.  
  37. 1) This software is provided as is. All responsibility for determining 
  38. fitness of purpose rests with you, the user, for which purpose the free 
  39. evaluation period is provided. On registration, the user is deemed to have 
  40. agreed that the software is fit for the intended purpose of use, and no 
  41. refund of the registration fee shall be entertained thereafter, for 
  42. whatever reason.

  44. 2) No liability is accepted for any loss or damage or consequential loss or 
  45. damage arising directly or indirectly out of the use of the software or for 
  46. any other reason. It is entirely your responsibility to take all necessary 
  47. precautions to safeguard against any such loss or damage before, during and 
  48. after the evaluation period.

  50. 3) You are granted a free license to use the software solely and 
  51. exclusively for the purposes of evaluation, for a period of not exceeding 
  52. 28 days. On the expiry of this period, you agree to either a) register the 
  53. software, or b) cease using the software and any programs created using it, 
  54. and to delete all copies of the software from your system.

  56. 4) Registration will be made on the basis of one license per non-networked 
  57. system on which the program (CALMON.EXE) is installed. In the case of 
  58. systems in which the program is accessible to more than one system at a 
  59. time, such as a network server, registration shall be on the basis of one 
  60. license for each system which is capable of accessing to the software.

  64. Registering CALMon 95
  65. ---------------------

  67. CALMon 95 is not free software. It is distributed as shareware, and you are 
  68. required to register the software if you wish to continue using it after an 
  69. evaluation period of not exceeding 28 days. Scheduled reminders that the 
  70. software is unregistered will begin to appear as the end of the evaluation 
  71. period approaches.

  73. After registration you will be granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable 
  74. license to use the software on a single computer system, subject to the 
  75. terms and conditions set out in the License Agreement.
  76.  
  77. When your registration has been processed you will receive by post or email 
  78. a serial number which is keyed to the personal details you supplied. To 
  79. serialize your copy of CALMon 95, display the About CALMon dialog box, 
  80. press the Register! button, and enter the name, company name or home town 
  81. and serial number EXACTLY as given in the fields provided. Then press the 
  82. OK button. If the details were entered correctly then they will be 
  83. displayed in the About dialog and the Register! button will disappear.

  85. Please keep your registration details and serial number in a safe place. Do 
  86. not give them to another person, or cause them to be published by any 
  87. means. Persons who are discovered to have provided registration details and 
  88. serial numbers to others for the purpose of allowing them to use the 
  89. software as a registered user without themselves registering will be 
  90. prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.
