  4. Protracker 3.10 is (C) Copyrighted 1992-93 by the Authors
  5. All rights reserved. Commercial use prohibited without written
  6. permission from the Authors.

  8. Commercial distribution licensed per 3rd of May 1993 is restricted to
  9. the Amiga Format magazine and AM/FM Music Magazine. The Authors, however,
  10. reserve the right to commercially distribute the program and all its 
  11. included fascilities, be it examples, documentation and other utilities.
  12. The Authors reserve all rights to  withdraw any license without notice and
  13. for future licensing of this program.

  31. purposes. I.e prices may not exceed costs for disk and postage.

  36. This version of Protracker is a betaversion exclusively for the Amiga Format
  37. magazine. Protracker 3.10 by Cryptoburners is the latest edition to the
  38. Protracker family and is entirely based upon Protracker 1.3/2.0 by
  39. Lars Hamre of The Amiga Freelancers.

  41. Main features of this beta version:

  44. * Dramatically improved user interface.
  45.     - Hires 640x200 screen display.
  46.     - Better input handling.
  47.     - Scrollbars added where required.
  48.     - Date/Time online.
  49.     - Overall volume controller on screen.
  50. * A new improved 7-note chord editor, recalculates loops.
  51. * Improved and faster sample editing. Unlimited zoom levels.
  52. * Full compatibility with all existing OS versions including OS3.0
  53. * Better multitasking capabilities.
  54. * New sample edit options, includes Invert, Maximize, NormalDC, Normalize.
  55. * Mouse controlled editing made possible.
  56. * Full Powerpacker support, read/write/encrypt possible.
  57. * Added real VU-meters.
  58. * New configurable options: 
  59.     - Screen positioning.
  60.     - Lace on/off for genlock users.
  61.     - Multicached disk directories.
  62. * Several interesting bugs (Batteries not included).

  67. The final version features massive improvements in comparison with every other
  68. tracker around :) New features include:

  70. * For the first time in Amiga history: Improved sound quality! Actual 12 bit 
  71.   sound dynamics using a new and revolutionary algorithm. No addititional
  72.   add-ons required, furthermore, no extra storage usage. Fully compatible with
  73.   traditional 8-bit Amiga sounds. 
  74. * A whole new range of DSP effects for your samples, including such effects as:
  75.     - Low, high, band and allpass filters (IIR filters).
  76.     - Comb filters.
  77.     - Shelving low and high filters.
  78.     - Multitap delay/feedback algorithms.
  79. * Reads and converts numerous 16 bit samples, including Maestro and AIFF.
  80. * Amigaguide documentation (A big sucker).
