  25. At least with 2.5.8, nothing like this was neccesary (as far as I can
  26. remember). Of course I've only compiled later revisions with gcc2.

  29. Since we're having such a good discussion going, has anybody tried building
  30. the gnu binutils (ld and as) for Amix?
  31. The newest revision (2.6) has support for m68k-ELF32 and even compiles, but
  32. not surprisingly fails in the test suite.
  33. Also the 2.1 release notes state that Amix doesn't support the ELF ABI
  34. properly. Does this mean that it will never succeed?
  35. I've contacted the maintainer about this, but neither of us is familiar 
  36. enough with Amix intrinsics to do anything about it.
