- I own an Amiga 1200 with a CSA 12-Gauge 030/882 accelerator
- with 16MB of RAM. I plan to install a UNIX on it. Originally I had
- planned on going the Linux route, but now NetBSD is looking like a
- better idea. First of all, NetBSD 1.1 directly supports the SCSI
- controller on the 12-Gauge, Linux does not. Secondly, NetBSD seems to
- support Amiga audio. However, I have noticed one potential problem
- from the FAQ's I have read on NetBSD: there doesn't seem to be a color
- driver for X under an AGA Amiga. According to what I've read, there
- is one server for ECS and AGA Amigas combined, and it is black and
- white only. Using X on a nice 800x600 display, but in b&w seems
- pretty torturous to me. Anyone know if I am wrong? Does X under
- NetBSD support AGA color? Thanks.
