- I've tried a different monitor - same result.

- Thanks for the list, it has helped me to get a bit further. Using
- your values I can now successfully run 'grfconfig' (it appears
- that the console line is essential and my horizontal values were
- way wrong)
-
- However, I STILL get a blank screen! I start Xcl and the Picasso
- fires up and gives me a blank white screen. I can tell from the
- disk activity that the system is still running and I can type
- commands into the invisible windows, 'shutdown now' works well
- at this point :-)
-
- Getting blank screens in both console mode and with X suggests to
- me that maybe there is some compatibility problem between the driver
- and my card (I have no problems with the card running Workbench).
- To check if this might be the case, could anyone with working
- (or non-working) NetBSD and Picasso cards please check the
- version numbers and jumper settings and post the results. For my
- board, the versions and jumpers are:
-
- Board: Picasso II
- RAM: 2MB
- Version: 1.4 (etched onto edge of board near Zorro connector)
- Cirrus chip: CL-GD5426-80QC-A
- Jumpers: JP301 - open
- JP401 - lower 2 pins jumpered (nearest Zorro bus)
- JP402 - open
-
- BTW, anyone know what all these jumpers do? I think JP402 is to set
- segmented mode but I can't find anything in the manual about the
- others.
