- It *does* get all your RAM. But it uses at least the size of the kernel
- and yet _more_ for kernel-variables and allocated structures.

- Have you ever counted the bytes when booting up an Amiga having support
- for TCP/IP, NFS, ISO9660, Multiuser (-fs), ftpd, telnetd, stty, MS-DOS-FS,
- virtual memory (and more)? It will consume more mem than the 1.4MB you are
- telling us about :-)

- Swap partitions is a tough part, I agree. Otherwise, you should try to
- remove any SCSI or IDE stuff you don't need, as well as 040-stuff and all
- the filesystems you likewise dont have use for.
