- : That's all I could find out about the drive.

- From time to time I use an Archive Viper QIC150 Tape, and I get the
- same error. The solution I came to is:
-
- mt fsf 1
- (this results in some more error messages, but the tape is forwarded)
- ^C after a few seconds (this takes some time to get through)
- mt rewind
-
- and afterwards, the tape can be used without any problems. Maybe
- it would be possible to change the sbic-driver to recognize the tape
- immediatly, but I can live with this solution, as I use the tape only
- once in a while.

- : Also I would like to be able to read NetBSD-Amiga 1.1 tapes under

-
- BTN, the "Better Than Nothing" tape-driver, works fine for me. If you
- wrote the tapes with tar under NetBSD, you can read them without any
- problems from AmigaDos, of course again with tar.
