- OK, I installed NetBSD-1.1 from scratch, and followed
- the instructions to the letter. With HDtoolbox I
- created the partitions and set up custom filesystem.
- Now I discover that I'll need to get BFFS working if
- I want to get access to new kernels to boot. So I study on
- the BFFS documentation and worry about the following:
-
- 1. If I install BFFS on a partition that already has the
- NetBSD-1.1 root files on it, will I have to first dump
- the filesystem then restore it following the BFFS
- installation?
-
- 2. There's mention of the BSD 4.4 version of the
- filesystem. I used the NetBSD utilities to
- create the filesystems and they show up as
- version 4.2 when I do a disklabel command.
- Is that what a BFFS file system looks like on
- the NetBSD-1.1 side?
-
- I guess what I'm asking is, what are the steps to convert a
- running NeTBSD-1.1 over to one using BFFS filesystems.
