- Should I take this to mean that fsck -2 doesn't change the filesystem
- to new format? I had the impression that the upgrade 'package' (not sure
- about the correct term but anyway that upgrade-filesystem which was copied
- onto swap partition and then at boot time system got updated) did upgrade
- filesystems to new format... yes, I can read my NetBSD partitions
- from ADOS with BFFS1.4. No problems at all.
-
- But perhaps a real newfs instead of just changing things with fsck behaves
- differently... I guess I'm not going to try that (unless someone says
- that it would improve performance significantly - I can use another
- networked machine as a 'kernel storage').
