- Hi, I just bought a second hand WANGTEK, 5525ES SCSI REV1, 6F6 Tape
- Backup Unit. As so often, I didn't get any documentation. So I was
- wondering if anyone could tell me about the drive? I found the
- jumperblock to change the SCSI Address, But I also found 2 more
- jumpers, one right next to the address jumpers, and one somewhere in
- the middle of the PCB... What are theese 2 jumpers for?
- I also found that the drives works on a fixed blocksize of 1024 bytes.
- That's all I could find out about the drive.
-
- the mt status command comes back with the following:
- 7: unknown tape drive type
-
- Also I would like to be able to read NetBSD-Amiga 1.1 tapes under
- AmigaDos, Is there a program around that lets me do this?
-
- When I do a backup under Ados I don't seem to be able to append to a
- tape. What I mean is that if I backed up a partition on a tape I can't
- backup another one without overwriting the first. Is something like mt
- and tar available for AmigaDos?
-
- And last: does anyone still have a bunch of DC6525 Tapes lying around,
- that they want to get rid of?
-
- Thanks for your time and help.
