- Hiya, everybody,
-
- Okay, I'm sorry if this question has been answered a thousand times before,
- but how DO you program shared libraries in assembler?
-
- I am happy with the idea of writing 100% re-entrant, relocatable code - what
- I would like is some assistance on the format of a shared library, including
- the library source, and the creation of an _LVO offset file.
-
- I have downloaded a file from Aminet which includes a macro for programming a
- shared library, but it failed to work on Devpac 3.14 - I am attempting to
- communicate with the author of the macro.
-
- Does anybody have any suggestions or advice on writing libraries? I don't
- particularly want to have to spend large quantities of money on the RKMs at
- the moment, although I will eventually invest in them.
-
- Incidentally, one of the projects I am starting to work on is the writing of
- a client-server system - does anyone else have experience of writing one of
- these that may be able to offer advice?
-
- Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to offer.
-
- Ian.
