- Uhh, not that again. What's your problem? If you like Unix, buy a
- Unix box. If you like Win95, buy a PC. If you like MacOS, buy a Mac.
- There are quite a few small debugging tools on the Amiga that help you
- to find memory leaks, or wrong pointers. You find the bug, then fix it.
- The finished application shouldn't produce any memory access faults,
- not under Unix, and not under AmigaOS. And the actual
- fixing of the bug takes at least a few minutes, including recompile.
- So bringing the machine back into a solid state takes only a small
- fraction of the whole bugfix (a reboot on an Amiga takes 10..30
- seconds).
-
- Memory protection is nice, but only if it doesn't degrade system
- performance. And I yet have to see a Unix which performs as
- well even on lowcost machines as AmigaOS.

- Oh come on. Actually ***reproducing*** and thus finding the bugs
- takes the most time. It's not like you have 50 memory trashing
- bugs a day, otherwise there's something wrong with your programming
- style.

- An Amiga running Linux (or any other Unix) is no longer an Amiga,
- it's just a Unix box.
