  11. I have always found the number of available fonts on the Amiga to be on the 
  12. low side, to say the least, and have seen too many ugly fonts for this 
  13. lifetime.

  15. That said, I created 2 programs which enable converting Truetype fonts from 
  16. the MS-DOS platforms (Windows) to the Amiga. 1 on the PC to select and create 
  17. a small file to export to the Amiga, and 1 on the Amiga to read in the file 
  18. and convert it to an actual font. Thankfully the Amiga font system allows 
  19. near-perfect conversions of Truetype fonts, and I'm happy to say that I now 
  20. have more than a thousand fonts to choose from on the Amiga. They look better 
  21. than the CG fonts, and are mostly free of usage rights.

  23. If there is enough interest in these programs, I might release it to the 
  24. public. 3 things:
  25. 1. Is there indeed interest for these programs?
  26. 2. What would be the best way to publish it?
  27. 3. Would this be nice to supply to AT, or do they already support truetype?
