  15.     So, I'm a fairly competent programmer - I can handle C, Assembly,
  16. Pascal, Basic, COBOL, etc.  Quite a few languages really.  I've had an Amiga
  17. since around 1986, and I've never really done any serious programming on
  18. it.  I'd like to though.
  19.  
  20.     I've managed to do some pretty simple stuff really:  Opening intuition
  21. screens and windows, and drawing simple line graphics, etc.  I can call asm
  22. routines from C, and vis-versa.  I have done some C++ stuff, written frontends
  23. to existing programs...

  25.     I still find something lacking.
  26.  
  27.     I need to get some more books on Amiga programming specifically.
  28. I've seen the "Bruce Smith" books advertised here and around, and was
  29. wondering if they are any good.  What I need is a quick reference on the
  30. basic building blocks of programs on the Amiga - Requesters, Windows, Screens.
  31. Additionally, I'd like information on amiga specific stuff blitter, copper, sprite.

  33.     If anybody has any leads on good books,  with relatively up to
  34. date examples, I'd appreciate some info.  Stuff like loading a data-type
  35. picture or sound into a program...
