- What knowledge do you have about this topic?

- IYO, and in the one of only WB users.

- These are "dogma" that show how much you're open mind..
- "a standard opinion about anything".
- Nobody has ever created anything with this closed mentality.
-
- >that can suit the majority of needs.
-
- Let's say that there are 3 main needs to sell an Amiga (in random order):
-
- 1) Realtime advanced games.
- 2) WorkBench environment, and applications using the OS
- 3) Video/MultiMedia applications as Scala.
-
- Well, your wishes cover only the 2nd point, but not that 1 and 2 indeed.
- So they dont "cover the majority of needs" at all.
-
- While my wished solution covers bigtime all the 3 points.

-
- Strange that I have a 060 here.
- And I never said that the 680x0 must be the fulcrum of the RISC computer, but
- an eredity that will be useful also in the future.
- 68030 is fully sufficient to handle an Hombre+HP/PA board, the 68060 was *only*
- for who needed a 68060 for old software.

-
- You're wrong again:
- PowerPC is copyrighted by IBM, and it is 100% derived by IBM POWER RISC cpu.
- The Motorola is the manufacteur, and this has nothing to do with the
- programming model of the CPU.
- I dont care if i.e Commodore gave the silicon to IBM to make PPC: it would
- still be an IBM design, with a very noticeable IBM philosophy under it and the
- way you must program it.

-
- I see you've their hardware manual..
-
- >Going with standard hardware IMO won't mean less Amiga games (is that
- >even possible?),
-
- No, I just noticed 20000 new games out for the Amiga, and every day there're
- more and more new games only waiting to be loaded in the Amiga. :D
-
- >but will rather mean many more, and of a much higher calibre,
-
- Yeah, dream on.
-
- >since a PPCP Amiga will make porting games very easy.
-
- Yeah v2.0.
- Windows95 C++ games (the most crap) in the painful trial to be recompiled for
- the PowerAmiga.
- Do you think that F1GP-II, Quake & co. are written in ANSI C++??? =)))
-
- And also if it was, dont think that they give you the source to be recompiled
- on the Amiga: they must provide a box with Amiga CdRom and executables.
- That is a big and useless marketing risk.
-

-
- haha =)))
- what's the superiority of stardard chips rather than 3DO-M2 for WB?
- Maybe the programmable refresh frequencies?
- You can add it to 3DO-M2 design (if it's not yet there) in a moment.
- ^^
-
- Well, I admit that such a custom chipset would have a problem:
- it would be damn less ridicolous of SVGA when moving windows/screens.
-
- Maybe you like slow things, but I believe that some good programmers will make
- a patch for you, like the excellent "Windows" patch for Amiga I've seen
- somewhere: do give flickering mouse pointer, 8+3 chars instead of 32, and many
- cool things of standard solutions.
-
- >No offense, but your philosophy

-
- Yeah, you're cool and you know everything, your experience is over the one of
- anyone else, you're equilibrated in your thoughts about OS/games, you want the
- best for both WB and MultiMedia/games applications, you talk about assembly
- programming because you're an experienced assembly programmer, you talk about
- direct hardware programming because you made both it and OS programming, and
- I'm just disabling the Sarchasm MODE.
-
- >Now for the flame. ;)
-
- ;)
-
- >Go ahead and have your opinion (however wrong it may be ;)
-
- Yeah, you're right!
- argh... I just gurud: "Liar Exception", I forgot to re-enable Sarchasm MODE. ;)
-

- of such a superior and illuminating dickhead of yours.
