  18. IFF you use newicons (Referring to special format, not images) with the 
  19. newicons patch you will see an improvement.  You can then change your 
  20. workbench palette to whatever and the colors of the icons will not change.  
  21. That is, so long as you have plenty of colors in the screenmode.  The main 
  22. thing about newicons is that the icon palette is stored with the icons, that 
  23. means that the patch can take advantage of dynamic pen allocation and choose 
  24. the best matching colors instead of relying on positions in the colormap.

  26. What people want with a new workbench is icons to have palettes and the os
  27. to recognise that and make use of it.
