- CDXL isn't a file format as such, it's a transfer mechanism for CDTV and
- CD32.

- What I guess you mean is the PAN format CDXL video streams. These are
- pretty much just raw bitplane data with a little header and gaps for
- audio. No compression, it's about as simple a format as you could
- possibly get (although it does allow for multi-palette animation and even
- different frame sizes).
