- These are rather 'patches' then, but "real" bugfixes or at least adaptions
- to different environments. A patch _is_ IMO "on the fly" a recompilation is
- what it is: a recompilation. Two worlds...

-
- This would not be handy. This would be brilliant (taken, that a loton WB is
- improved). Changing prefs from within scripts, yes, changing the whole
- environment "on the fly", having a global ARexx port (I would like to see a
- rule, that any installed program has at very first to introduce itself
- along with its commands to a special prefs program. Then, every time an
- ARexx command, which is not contained in the system (or libs) it launches
- this application automatically to get access to its commands.

- It seems you do not know what ToolsDaemon is: It offers you as many menus
- as fit on your screen. I use Toolmanager as well, but never ever would use
- my sys without ToolsDaemon.

- What about files without icon ? Where is the problem with having the first
- byte or first two bytes being an identifier for a datatype ? Still, I have
- know no solution, how to identify plain ASCII texts as ASCII. (for example
- in Dopus)

-
- These are no "trends" ARexx is an institution, and JAVA might become the
- furure. Already, the inventors describe JAVA as compared to the
- "Programming in C (Kernighan&Ritchie)". The book folows this structure and
- I guess the same examples. This should mean something, at least, what SUN
- *would* JAVA like to be.....

- AFS isn't htat good IMO. It is the same as with MUI. Take the features, put
- out the crap, write an own one.
