- So far I know the relevant Autodocs can be kept on a single diskette
- (compressed) and it should not be too difficult to find this diskette.

-
- I would be happy if I could have at least these 3 years old Autodocs.
- You do not know the proverb "Lieber ein Spatz in der Hand als eine
- Taube auf dem Dach."
-
- To give you a concrete example:
- I was just trying to make a port of an important computer algebra
- package to the Amiga, which is freely available for all other platforms
- since a while, and which, as I found, could also run nicely on an Amiga1200.
- Then I came to the
- problem of using the new LoadRGB32() (for some function plotting
- routines). A straightforward try (without Autodocs) did not work,
- and then I had to wait one week before some pittiful soul
- in this news group send me the corresponding Autodocs 3.1 excerpt.
- For the moment this project is put on ice anyway because I decided not to
- waste any further time (and since I gave my Amiga equipment for
- playing to my kids anyway)

-
-
- I do not know whether the term "fatalistic" is really what you mean.
- Frustrated, dissapointed ... yes!
-
- By the way (BTW) it is nice that you answer at all to what I posted
- (you are obviously not obliged to do so, or are you ?).
- But, unfortunately, your answer is again
- in the same spirit of what I complained.
- Why are you peaople at AT not able give a simple honest statement like:
-
- "We have not yet decided whether the Autodocs will be available for
- everybody or whether we shall continue to sell them. Hence ... ?"
- or
- "The Autodocs will be available on Aminet approximately ...."
- or even better
- "Nothing is decided for now, but you folks will find the Autodocs,
- which are 3 years old anyway, in Aminet/dev/docs ;-)"
-
- Instead you tell us again "We have so much, so much work, be patient,
- what do you impatient kids outside know about how all this works anyway".
- An honest, simple answer is really not possible ????
-
- When, where and how the Autodocs ? Or at least : why can't you give an
- answer?
-
- Finally, dear O. Barthel, though it does not concern you directly:
- It took me one afternoon (one !!!) to write several WWW pages
- for the institute where I am working. And on these pages you will
- find much more useful staff than on the AT pages:
- "Unsere aktuelle Produktpalette ..." eurrkh
- It is not possible to put the old old 3 years old Autodocs
- on it ( I can tell you guys how this works; so you can
- do this as a break betweeen unpacking two more
- Commodore boxes).

-
- PS: My kids are running out of Amiga games right now. You think you
- will still save the melting Amiga market ?
