  14. I like to have both formats handy.  I would be more than pleased with simply an electronic
  15. update at first, but I would like to see new reference booxs in the future.  My 2.0 set
  16. has gotten a lot of use.

  18. The other factor is that ANYONE could buy the books at a store, you didn't need to be a registered
  19. developer to get going.  This was how I started programming the Amiga, Devpac 2.14 and the
  20. RKM's.  I think they need to be available in book form - some people program better this way.

  22. My preference is to have everything online cross-referenced with AmigaGuide format, I use this
  23. most of the time.  But I originally learned stuff by just reading the RKM: Libraries book.

  26. I would like to eventually see a programmer's CD-ROM come out.  This would have all the
  27. NDK stuff, as well as the dev/ directory of Aminet, and perhaps example source, and demos
  28. of commercial compilers/assemblers etc.  Everything someone could use to get going.  Having
  29. all the PD/Shareware tools in addition to the NDK stuff would be great.  Perhaps
  30. also on here could go Fred Fish's ADE project.  As much as could be crammed on a CD.
  31. Ideally someone who is actually NEW to Amiga programming (yes there are some) and may or may
  32. not even have net access could buy this CD and a compiler, (or use GNU or something
  33. on the disk), and just get going, with BGUI/MUI/NDK/ADE and anything else they could want.
