- So you think it would be easier to build a processor + 2 different DSPs and a
- MPEG chip is easier than building one with 4 the same processors? Adding an
- extra DSP to a system is a lot of work, adding a few more processors to a
- system which already has 2 or more of them should be quite trivial. I didn't
- mean to say that a single processor system is about as complex as a
- multiprocessor one (and I didn't).

- Okay, change that into 'simpler than it was with the previous generation of
- Intel chips'. In any case it seems likely that multiprocesser systems will be
- found in most homes in a couple of years, and the P6 certainly seems to be
- capable of making it happen.

-
- Did I? I just stated that the CPU isn't equipped for the task, which means it
- would be a waste of time and resources to use the CPU to do planar
- manipulations.
-
- MVE> Why don't you limit planar graphics then to 10 year old

-
- What could the CPU possibly do that the hardware couldn't do better, faster or
- more elegant AND is actually usefull (and doesn't require a C2P conversion)?
- Or are you suggesting now that planar systems don't even have proper hardware?
-
- I think however that you know exactly what I meant with that statement, you
- however seem to like misinterpreting what people say if they don't express
- themselves in a VERY clear way so that misinterpreting the statement would be
- impossible. Or maybe you only read what you quote? That would explain a lot.
