- well compiler technology is doing, not how good the CPU's are. I mean, when
- looking at the specmarks you would get the impression that the Pentium is 3-4
- times as fast as the 486 at same MHz, while in real life it is more like 1.5-2
- times. They are in fact comparing a 486 system which was produced 5 years ago
- with 'old' compiler technology, to the latest Pentium systems with more memory,
- better compilers and faster HD's. That's not what I call measuring CPU
- performance.)
