  21. 1. This isn't appropriate to most of the groups it's crossposted to.

  23. 2. In math, a word means *exactly* what you *define* it to mean. It is
  24. thus meaningless to discuss whether a vector is a tuple or whether a
  25. point a a vector - it is if you define it to be. It seems that people
  26. are using different definitions, but, like axioms, no definitions are
  27. more *correct* than the others. I could define a vector as an object
  28. having a color and a temperature, and it wouldn't be less correct than
  29. any of the other definitions. Less useful, perhaps, but not less
  30. correct. But this is (perhaps) a topic for sci.math, not for these
  31. newsgroups.
