  27. Yep, but if You update your application, the pirates are required to do the same
  28. thing all over again. Any owner of a valid keyfile (best containing some code,
  29. the registration number, name, adress, again some code) just can install the
  30. update, the users of pirated software will have to wait for the pirates.

  32. Patches, applied e.g. via setpatch, will cease to work too.

  34. I'm not sure which kind of application we are talking about here. It is my
  35. experience, that any serious application i own is regularly updated (at least
  36. the author provides bugfixes), and this will not work with pirates. Of course
  37. this is no argument for using keyfiles for games :)
