- well, the only nessesary hardware poke I see is having control over
- the copper. all other stuff indeed works fine with the OS, but
- OS-user-copperlists are static...

- well, if you do a combination, using hardwareacess on A1200 and OS on
- future machines, you got both speed and future.

- mem-at-$200000 assumtion doesn't make a hack faster. OS-fans always tend
- to give the examples where the hacks only got disadvantages.

- But there are methods in using the hardware which actually really
- give a lot more speed, not only some rasterlines, (interleaved planar,
- "ghost look"), and seems that these methods can't be done with OS-calls.
