- well, supporting gfx-cards needs some bytes more. IMHO we should
- drop 40k intros and switch to 60k + gfx-cards.

- yes.

-
- well, supporting gfx-cards doesn't mean you need to fallback to
- OS-routines for rendering. OS-rendering as option could speed up
- on special hardware though.

-
- Yes, that's nice. But it's too slow. Not because of sysfriendly, but
- bacause of suboptimal c2p and suboptimal mapping.

-
- Well, even an A1200 can do about 4MB/sec, including chunky-to-planar, talking
- about non realtimish games like doom, descent.
- The myth that AGA makes this games impossible and that using a gfx-card
- automatically gives you megasped is simply WRONG.
-
- Well, the reason for doom on your Amiga beeing faster than on mine is simply
- the cpu, not the gfx-card. seems that AGA is faster in this case, and
- if I switch to a 2x1 or 2x2 modus, AGA simply blasts away your gfx-card,
- c2p included. It's different on fast cpus, though, but on 030-25 AGA would
- still be faster in 2x2 modi.
