  29. Crashing the machine is shit code. Everyone agrees on that, c0d3rz
  30. and OSlamic fundamentalists. If your machine crashes, there is a bug
  31. in the code, it's as simple as that. I can't recall anyone ever
  32. claiming it was otherwise. The closest you'll get to such a claim is
  33. that if someone codes something, for fun, and you obtain and run it,
  34. totally free of charge, then you have no real right to complain if it
  35. doesn't do anything except crash. But the truth is that I, and all
  36. other demo c0d3rz, HATE crashes, agonise over them.. they are the
  37. bane of our existence even more than yours!

  46. You obviously haven't been looking at any products in the last couple
  47. of years. (maybe you're afraid of catching c0d3r-germs?)

  49. Almost all AGA demos return to the OS without rebooting. More and more
  50. are coming as lots of little files which are loaded from, you guessed
  51. it, the HD, during the running of the demo. No multitasking, I'll pay
  52. that one, although I have seen some diskmags and things coded by c0d3rz
  53. which do multitask.

  55. The only claim of yours where you really are right is the no graphics
  56. card support, and that IS done intentionally - most c0d3erz code for
  57. the Amiga. An A1200 is an Amiga. So is an A4000. But how about my A3000
  58. with Retina? Demos & games don't run on it, but that's OK with me, 'cos
  59. it's not an Amiga - it's an 030 based computer running AmigaDOS, but
  60. it's not an Amiga.

  62. You don't seem to accept that there are people who wish to program
  63. Amigas, not AmigaDOS. Telling me that I must not hit the hardware and
  64. must use the OS for my hobby programming - you might as well tell me
  65. that I must not use C or Assembly but must instead use COBOL - you'll
  66. get the same reaction from me.
