- If done right it would cost them nothing more than some space on a
- CD-ROM for stuff that could optionally be installed on the system. Of
- course they first have to catch up with the rest of the computing
- world and figure out that a CD-ROM drive is getting to be an essential
- accessory for any general purpose computer.

- Certainly only a small fraction of the user base will want or need
- development tools. But that small fraction is more important to the
- success of the machine than 10 times that number of nondeveloper
- consumers. (just my opinion of course :-)
