  23. If done right it would cost them nothing more than some space on a
  24. CD-ROM for stuff that could optionally be installed on the system.  Of
  25. course they first have to catch up with the rest of the computing
  26. world and figure out that a CD-ROM drive is getting to be an essential
  27. accessory for any general purpose computer.

  29. Certainly only a small fraction of the user base will want or need
  30. development tools.  But that small fraction is more important to the
  31. success of the machine than 10 times that number of nondeveloper
  32. consumers.  (just my opinion of course :-)
