- I don't know. I'm not very familiar with C either (why should I :-) but I
- managed to translate the whole program to Oberon without problems.

- Well, this could indicate wrong bitmap pointers.

- Maybe you are allocating bitmaps but are storing the pointers at the wrong
- place. So you a) give wrong (zero) pointers to your view and b) are trying
- to free the wrong chunk of memory.
