- I believe the Cray 2 used gallium arsenide processors. (Along with
- being totally immersed in 'floroinert'). Seymour Cray was among the very
- first to adopt the use of gallium arsenide. Mainly because it
- doesn't have anywhere the problems silicon has when it gets hot.
- Wasn't it a 262144 processor Alpha-based parallel machine that Cray was
- working on last?
