  14. You pack your file(s) into a lha archive and make a *.readme file.
  15. The readme file must contain a 1. line which says "short:".

  19. You will upload your file Test1.0.lha, you then make a readme file:

  21. Test1.0.lha
  22. Test1.0.readme
  23.  
  24. The readme file looks like this:

  29. This is just a test.

  33. The Uploader: is optional, but recommended. You can also have Author: and
  34. type: eg. Type: util/libs. This refer to the directory which suits the kind
  35. of file your archive contains.

  37. Then log into Aminet via FTP and go to the Aminet directory (usually the
  38. pub/amiga/)

  40. Go then to the new/ directory. Here you can type:

  42. mput Test1.0.*
  43.  
  44. (mput is for multi upload, use 'put' for only one file)
  45. Note: case-sensitive on filenames!
  46.  
  47. and both of your files (.lha|.readme) will be uploaded. The files must be
  48. availeble from the unix shell cureent dir if you use it from this, or from
  49. your upload directory if you go thrue TCP/IP (via eg. AmiFTP).

  51. Then the AmiNet adm. will verify your file and then put onto a RECENT list.
