- The original machine was called the Amiga, produced by a compmany called
- Commodore-Amiga. It was therefore called the Commodore-Amiga Amiga.
-
- So in the beginning the term 'Commodore Amiga' was more correctly
- used to describe the company rather than the product. Later on
- I think Commodore swallowed it's child company (Commodore-Amiga) and
- produced the Amiga under it's own name 'Commodore'. Thus at around AmigaOS
- 1.3 the machine became known as the 'Commodore Amiga'. (Admittedly most
- people had been calling it that for ages before it became it's official
- name!! :-> )
